Context

Most 2FA managers depend on the cloud or a thin UI. xVault is a real local product: a modern SPA backed by a Rust server that keeps the secrets and exposes a clean API.

Architecture

— Frontend: Svelte 5 + Vite + TypeScript
— Backend: Rust + Axum, SQLite storage, encrypted secrets (AES), TOTP/HOTP + QR
— Docker / Compose deployment, public demo

Key points

— Secrets handled server-side in Rust, never in the browser
— Local SQLite storage: simple, single-process deployment
— Frontend, backend, crypto and infra in one coherent repo
